Pertinence Between College And University Professional Training And Economic Development Of Zhejiang Province

The training of college and university professionals in China is mainly carried out relying on higher education, while higher education is conducted centering on economic development. Entering the 21st century, the training of Chinese college and university professionals is faced with new challenges. As a major economic province in China, in term of college and university professional training, Zhejiang is also met with the same challenge. Since the year 2000, the industrial structure of Zhejiang Province has started to be adjusted and changed. The High-tech industry, with information technology as the core, has been developing by leaps and bounds, and the electronic information industry and the pharmaceutical industry have been on a drastic rise. Moreover, the tertiary industry, characterized by modern service, has also paced up. The changes in the industrial structure will inevitably make higher requirements for the college and university professional training in the province; in other words, the schools of higher education should make proactive approach to cultivate the professionals in accordance to the features of economic development and industrial structure of Zhejiang Province, which means the training of college and university professionals should be accommodated with the economic development.The research on the pertinence between college and university professional training and economic development in Zhejiang Province is of great realistic significance. Based on this thought, this thesis first introduces the current situation, process and features of the academic specialties and professional training in China.Next, focusing on Zhejiang province, analysis and prediction on the current situation of the professional training in Zhejiang Province, and the features and trend of the industrial structure and economic development of the province are also made. Then, on the basis of the research on the demand on college and university professionals in the province, by using the predicted data, the pertinence between the college and university professional training and economic development is analyzed. At last, the countermeasures to better improve their relations are also put forward.
