The harm from cigarette smoking is one of the most severe problem of public health, it is the most serious but could be prevented risk factor to people health. Middle school students are in puberty, when they change rapidly in both physiology and mentality. They would make a wrong choice, because lack of measuring advantages and disadvantages of smoking, or begin to try smoking influenced by the peers and circumstance. The age at which youth begin smoking influences subsequent smoking patterns, including progression to regular or daily smoking, and the likelihood of quitting. Youth who begin smoking at earlier ages use larger amounts of tobacco, over longer periods of time, and have more difficulty quitting than youth who begin smoking later in life. All of these factors place youth who initiate smoking at an early age at an increased risk for developing long term serious health consequences. Risk factors contribution to smoking behavior of middle school students are numerous and complicated. Many domestic and overseas researches indicated that the cause and risk factors of smoking behavior is generally regarded as multi-factor: including the factors of the character itself (sub sex, curiosity, and so on), the factors of peers (friends or classmates), the factors of adults (such as parents, teachers and dramatis personae in movie or video), cigarette advertisement and social ethos factor (give or accept cigarette in sociality occasion) and so on.
