Linguistic Education and Literature Education are the two essential tasks of Secondary Education. The former emphasizes on its value as tools, while the latter stresses on the meaning of Humanism. In our Secondary Education, the value as tools has been paid too much attention, but the meaning of Humanism has been ignored more or less. In view of this situation, this paper discusses the systematic practice of Literature Education in Junior Middle School, by using the latest achievements of Cognitive Psychology, Philosophy, Aesthetics, Brain-Science, Information-handling Theory and Literature Education Theory.The Preface reviews the essentiality and urgency of the systematic practice of Literature Education in Junior Middle School. Literature Education plays an important role in the development of individual;however, it still doesn't catch enough attention in the reform of curriculum.The First Part argues the particular role of Literature Education in the development of the middle school students, their development of cognition, personality, body and mind.The Second Part presents the status and problems of Literature Education in the Junior Middle School, from the aspects of misunderstanding about Literature Education and problems in the practice.The Third Part, as the body of the paper, focuses on the theory and practice of Systematic Literature Education in Middle School. After introducing the three principles that should be followed, the paper discusses in detail how to systematically apply Literature Education both in class and outside class. In class, under the background of Literature Education, textbook and teaching-process should be re-considered, while Unit-teaching and Text-teaching shall be carefully dealt with. Outside class, literature education is carried out mainly in two ways: life experience-writing and classics reading-writing.The Fourth Part emphasizes several points on which should be paid much more attention in the practice of Literature Education in Junior Middle School.
