During the Math teaching in high school, "Teaching the essentials and giving lots of practice" is one kind of methods which is accepted by most of teachers and students. And it has indeed played a positive role in the history of the Math education reform. Instead of "extensive teaching", "essential teaching" is useful to reducing the phenomena that teachers inculcate students with knowledge in the whole class, and "essential teaching" is also consistent with the idea of educational innovation at the present . But "lots of practice" is not good. Although it has the positive factor that emphasizes on students' subjective initiative, it more obviously leads students to the excessive assignments. In fact, the opinion that practice is not necessarily making perfect has been proved by many examples. Then, what's the reason leading to the senior students' inefficiency in mathematics practice? What should we do to change the situation? These problems which had been turned up at the front of the teaching practice have already been brought to the deep attention, and also have become a realistic question that made teachers puzzle and reconsider. So, it is very valuable to study the reasons resulted in the inefficiency and the corresponding solutions.On the base of serious analysis, this article theoretically and actually analyze and summarize four main reasons for the inefficiency, and suggest four measures to change the situation. What's more, the author propose a new framework "experimental procedure study—all forms of basic experiments—research on typical questions—the review of the result". In the end, through investigation, the author analyze the differences of the mathematics practice among senior students, and examine the objectivity of the reasons and the feasibility of the measures and the new framework.
