Pedagogical education is the beginning of a teacher's growth. Most of the counties pay great attention to the practice ability of the pedagogical students, from the foundation of pedagogical education to the developing process of it. They set up a relatively complete system of practice teaching. Practice teaching is an important section in the plan of instruction of normal schools. It's a most important way to raise the pedagogical students'preliminary ability of educating and teaching. It's an important link of raising qualified teachers as well. Some researchers constructed a theory system of practice teaching from theory stratification plane and they pointed out what goals should practice teaching achieved. Some researchers paid attention to practice stratification plane, and they did some research on the problems in practice teaching. But what is the actual effect of practice teaching? What will the pedagogical students acquire from practice teaching on earth? What problem and puzzle will they meet? What kind of help will they need? This study tries to reveal the value of practice teaching for the pedagogical students from tracking two process of practice teaching.The method of this study is field research. This method requires the researcher entering the research phenomenon. The researcher should observe and study the people's behavior and manner in natural condition. And the researcher collects and analyses materials through observation, interviewing, content analysis, historical research and narrative. Then the researcher will explain some phenomenon and construct some theories. This study use observation, interviewing and historical research to study practice teaching.The process of study is divided into two parts. I tracked two processes of practice teaching on November of 2005 and March of 2006. I collected a lot of first hand materials through observation, interviewing and collecting diaries of practice teaching and texts of statement on the summary congress. I did a study of the whole process of practice teaching and reveal the value of practice teaching for the pedagogical students.The study is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the reason and the significance of the study, combines the study before and introduces the methods and process of the study. The second part describes the first practice teaching of the students in Education Department in the terms of craft consciousness, teacher and student relations, professional ability and the puzzle to the relations between theory and practice. The third part describes the second practice teaching of the students in Education Department in the terms of teaching work and teacher in charge work including teacher and student relations. The fourth part induces the value of practice teaching for the pedagogical students based on the second part and the third part and considers the requirement of education belief the most important value. The fifth part is a summary of the whole study and point out the problem that the study hasn't solved. It's how the teacher will insist on the education belief when they became a real teacher.
