| Summary: Teachers are the undertakers of teaching practice and performers of education reform. Reform and development in education can't go without teachers taking part in it, Moreover, it's determined by the level of teachers development whether the education reform is a failure or success. Specialization of teachers has been a major tendency in the development of teaching vocation. A new turn of curriculum reform in fundamental education puts forward new requirements for the specialization of chemistry teachers. In this case, how can they adapt to the changes in carrying out the Chemistry Curriculum Standard of course setting? It's required that chemistry teachers should keep up with the pace of curriculum reform and follow new educational guidance. They are also asked to broaden their professional view, adjust teaching behavior and improving their teaching skills so that they can mature their professional quality and keep up with the new curriculum development. By means of consulting concerned documents and material, I start my research from explaining the connotation of teacher's specialization. Chemistry teacher's development in professional ability is rooted in the practice of chemistry course reform. I also summarize the connotation of chemistry teachers specialization the developing stages and ways of promoting it. Following the guidance of new course standard, teacher's specialization should be based on the school-oriented course research. It should be improved by drawing lessons from practice. It aims at improving teachers' quality and adapting to the new course reform. |
