The social development requests the student learn how to study, Now the society is being in the information age which changes with each new day, The rapid development of science and technology promote social economy to develope swiftly and violently, Society's informationization, multiplicity ,reformation and other features urges people to continuously renew their knowledge to have the ability to adapt to social changes and life-long study, so that they can solve problems in the complex and ever-changing environment, Strategy of the study helps people learn to study fast and effective, which facilitate people to adapt the diverse and changing society .Basing on the literature review of chemistry study strategies and from the characteristics of chemistry, this research uses the theories of pedagogy and psychology, combines the new curriculum standards , and uses self-made chemistry study strategy questionnaire to carry on an investigation among the Urumqi junior middle school student. We want to study the chemistry study strategy characteristics , and what kind of effective chemistry study strategies do students in the middle school have. Finding out the factors of chemistry study strategies which middle school students use. Then, we hope provide some workable suggestion for Chemistry teachers to teach students to learn to study, so that they can help middle-school students improve their chemistry study strategies and promote the students'development.The paper includes five parts:The first part mainly discusses the background of the selected topic and significance of the research, the research significance is mainly elaborated from three aspects :the elementary education curriculum reforms needs to study student's study rule, the study strategy research field need to enrich the discipline study strategy and Urumqi's present situation needs to study student's learning strategy . Moreover we have also analyzed the significance of researching junior middle school student chemistry study strategy .The second part has carried on the literature summary to the study strategy, in terms of concept, the structure and the empirical research aspect ,and has defined the chemistry study strategy, has given the structure of the chemistry study strategy.The third part has analyzed chemistry study strategies characteristic under the new curriculum standard: Independency, cooperation and modernization,basing on the chemistry teaching goal which the new curriculum standard proposed and on the foundation of the chemistry study strategy which was adopted by other countries'learners.The fourth part elaborated the inadequacies of the traditional chemistry study strategies, has analised the results of the investigation about Urumqi Junior middle school student chemistry study strategies .The fifth part elaborated theorical basis of the new curriculum standard chemistry lernning strategy combining 0construction principle theory and the Yuan cognition theory, also analyzed internal and exterior factors which affected the student chemistry study strategy from self-learners, teachers, schoolmates and families, the cultural background aspect.Finally the paper has given some teaching suggestions.
