The Meaning And The Application Of Tao Xingzhi's Life Education Theory In Moral Education Of Secondary Vocational School

Tao Xingzhi was born in 1891 and died in 1946. He spent his childhood in the oldsociety of China. In his teens, he made up his mind to save China by education, then he didit all by his life. Chairman Mao said he was a great people's educator and Song Qinglingsaid he was a normal in all the times of history.Tao Xingzhi dedicated all his life to Chinese education. He worked with the commonpeople and the communists. He did a great deal to Chinese people's education andliberation.Tao Xingzhi's life education theory is the soul of his education thoughts. According tohis ideas, life education theory consists of three education principles: education of life;school of society;to teach and learn by doing. The basic features of life education are live,motive, for the mass, moving forward, opening to the world and related to history.Although Tao Xingzhi's life education theory has the distinguishing features of history,most of his ideas are good and useful for today's reform of education. We have to admiremany of his ideas, for they are just the same as the ideas of the new course.Tao Xingzhi's life education theory absorbed the merits of the traditional Chineseculture and the western culture. The distinguishing feature of his moral education theory isthat his moral education is an education of life ,by life and for life.In this dissertation, I expounded the meaning, features and the methods of theapplication of Tao Xingzhi's life education theory. I emphasis on Tao Xingzhi's moraleducation and told a great deal of the secondary professional education of our country and Idiscussed the meaning and the application of Tao Xingzhi's life education theory in themoral education of our country's secondary vocational schools.The demands and corresponding measures for teachers in the application of TaoXingzhi's life education theory in the moral education of our country's secondaryprofessional schools are also discussed briefly in this dissertation.Writing this dissertation aims for exploring a better way to increase the actual effectsof the moral education of our country's secondary professional schools.
