In recent years, increasingly appear researches on secondary mathematics teachers'knowledge structure, essential skills as well as basic quality, but the question about theprofessional knowledge of secondary mathematics teachers is how to develop, which has notgot a good answer till now. This essay will research this question in detail. The authorconsiders that professional knowledge of secondary mathematics teachers should includeessence knowledge (mathematics bases, mathematics ideology, mathematics history, appliedmathematics), conditional knowledge (pedagogical knowledge ,teaching techniques), practicalknowledge ( supplementary material, computer);the author thinks that the recourse ofsecondary teachers' professional knowledge (approaches in which secondary teachers developtheir professional knowledge) should include: experiences which teachers attained in school,experiences in teacher education programmers before and after being a teacher, organizedactivities , participant observation,communication with colleagues, reading professionalbooks and journals, experience in teaching and reflection on themselves.The author surveyed 80 secondary mathematics teachers from all middle schools inshijiazhuang city, and some data collection techniques were used including surveys and statictechniques. The data was dealt and analyzed with SPSS software, especially analyzed thatdifferent resources had different influence on our country secondary mathematics teachers'professional knowledge. The result shows that the most important two resources of secondarymathematics teachers' professional knowledge are experience in teaching and reflection onthemselves as well as communication with colleagues;the important resources are participantobservation, reading professional books and journals, experience which teachers attained inschool and organized activities;the general resources are experiences in teacher educationprograms before and after being a teacher.The author hopes that the situation of our country secondary mathematics teachers'professional knowledge could be recognized, the result of this essay can provide valuableinformation to researchers who are interested in this question, furthermore, more secondaryschool mathematics teachers benefit form it and promote their professional knowledge.
