With the influx of teachers to reflect on ideas, how to reflect on teaching technical and teaching idea has been the focus of teachers and research workers. And through research found that: teachers can establish their own teaching theory and summing up their teaching knowledge, skills and experience to improve the quality of them. Against this background, the reflective teaching practice by teachers and other education researchers seriously considered it is the most effective way to improving the quality of teachers, thereby improving the quality of classroom teaching.This paper base on the function of classroom observation in reflective teaching, introduce the popular style of classroom observation, anecdotal records or open-ending records, and analysis of this method in reflective teaching of second language class. The first part is an introduction of reflective teaching in west countries, and the application of this method.The second part introduces the base of this paper classroom observation, includes the definition, the different with other education method, the role and significance of classroom observation and its classification. Anecdotal observation contains all the characteristics and role of classroom observation, and its own unique way more conducive to the operation and use of teachers.The third part is the focus of this paper, it discuss the relationship between the anecdotal way and reflective, and how to use open classroom observation for reflection. The fourth part concludes the function of anecdotal in teaching development. Teacher will develop themselves by the use of open classroom observation form on which to reflect on classroom observation of teachers in their own development with a virtuous circle, which will undoubtedly have a tremendous and positive role.
