Since the 1980s of the 20th century, there have been significant changes in the educational ideology throughout the world. The human being and his ultimate existence have been people's concern. Education now turns from merely imparting knowledge and skills to teaching people how to adapt to life, participate in life, create life, experience the meaning of life, enjoy the glory of life and love life. The significant development in educational ideology entails accordingly changing and transforming the teaching ideologies, teaching methodologies, educational assessment, and course-book reform,which all contribute to achieve the educational goals.The theory of situation teaching came into being at this moment and it has become prevailed home and abroad. After more than ten year's development the theory now has become one of the main methods in senior high school Chinese teaching.In this thesis I will analyze the nature of situated theory and the present situation in senior high school where this theory is applied, then I will discuss the shortcomings existed in the theory and how to build the situation teaching.The first part of this thesis concerns the theory of situation teaching, including the analysis of the connotation of the concept and its traits, and the significance of building such a theory. In the second part the investigation of the situation teaching in senior high Chinese teaching . Investigate the current situation to the situation teaching in senior high Chinese teaching .and the interview that review with teather. In the third part the analysis of the situation teaching in senior high Chinese teaching will be carried out and further is the investigation toward current situation of situated teaching and the interview to teachers. Finally I will analyze the problems and shortcomings of the theory existing in senior high school Chinese teaching in China. The forth part of this thesis will focus on how to build a successful situation teaching in senior high school Chinese teaching.
