This research takes the qualitative method to study the reform on the mathematics test question setting of junior high school and its implications on teaching.The research is divided into two parts: (1) analyzing the graduate examination papers of junior high school from 2005 to 2006; expatiating the reform on the test question setting of the graduate examination papers of junior high school. (2) through interviewing teachers on test question setting, teaching researchers, teachers as well as students to understand their attitudes and conceptions towards the reform on the test question setting and the graduate examination's influence on teaching and learning.The research shows that:1. The test question setting of graduate examination makes great progress in those years. It presents many new features but at the same time new problems are revealed as well.2. Facing to the current situation of the test question setting of graduate examination, some reasonable suggestions are proposed.3. Graduate examination has impact on school teaching. The graduate examination reform of junior high school enhances the teachers to do changes on teaching objectives, teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching models and so on.4. Graduate examination has impact on students'learning. The graduate examination reform of junior high school influences students'learning methods, attitudes, reactions and so on.
