| It's been the focus of the whole society that the heavy learning burden of the school students disadvantages the youth's healthy growth and all-around development. To lighten the students' learning overburden virtually is one of the key to deepen the basic education innovation and improve the teaching quality.This research takes one certain middle-school as its investigating object. By the means of investigating, observing, interviewing and measuring, this research aims to discover the actuality of the students' burdens, to analysis the structure, the forming reasons of the burdens and the relationships among all these burdens, to estimate whether the students' burdens are overbalanced, and to evaluate the effect of the school's former work on lightening the students' overburden. Then, with the learning of the predecessor's outcome on this problem and according to the true situation of the school, this paper is to seek the feasible strategy to lighten the overburden of the students.There're three main points in this research paper: firstly, while we want to lighten the students' overburden, it's not suitable to take "burden" as "learning burden", for the relationships among all the burdens of the students are very complex and they can transform from one to another easily; secondly, a yardstick for measuring the burden is given clearly in this paper, that has the following three aspects: we can measure it from the burden's quantity, from it's quality (from the students' response to the burden), and from the channel for discharging the burden. Thirdly, it's found that most of the students' burdens do not originally belong to the students themselves and should be carried by the teachers, the parents, the society and other groups. The crux of lightening the students' overburden is to let each group take its own responsibility, and to cut down firmly those burdens which should not be put on students' shoulders.It's found that the burdens of the students above Grade 3 Junior in this school are overbalanced and the main causes are the following: hard situation for taking up an occupation; the misunderstanding of the current high education entrance examination system, under-developed teaching ideas, ideas on the talents, the much higher expectation of the parents to their children, and the improper training methods; the fulsome pursuing the rate of entering a higher school. But to tell it in nature, it's because the students have too many burdens on their back which should not be carried by them.With the above analysis and study, some countermeasures against the students' overburden are made in this paper: 1. Get the teachers to learn the newest teaching theories carefully and made the parents familiar to these theories; 2. Improve the relationship between the teachers and the students,make "equality, consonance, democracy and mutual trust" the base of the new teacher-student relationship, try to found a psychology consultation department and give lessons to make the students know the way to discharge the overburden; 3. Give the spare time which the students can spend by their own judgment back to the students; 4. Increase the investment on developing the students' activity of interest; 5. Reform the valuation system towards the teaching and learning; 6. For the parents, try hard to build a "harmonious, lenient, warmly, democratic" family, and get the students to carry on some proper necessary non-learning burdens to develop their senses of public responsibility and the ability of facing the lurch. |
