Urban-rural labors is a special group during the process of urbanization and modernization in our country. They float into city, engaging in non-agricultural production in city society, but they are still peasants because of the personal ID Card system. Since they float out of countryside, they break away from their acquainting rural life. When living in city, they pass through all kinds of exclusion and discrimination from city society. This study tries to use the theoretical perspective of social exclusion to study the exclusion system on urban-rural labors from city society.The structure of this dissertation is arranged as follow: Chapter one introduces the background and the meaning of this theme, the literature review. Chapter two defines the main concepts of Urban-rural labors and social exclusion, probe the study framework and try to expound the hypothesis, research methodology of this dissertation. Chapter three uses the social exclusion analytical method to measure the social exclusion system of urban-rural labors from city society, and to probe where this exclusion comes from. Chapter four analyses how the exclusion system impacts on this group. Chapter five concentrates on its influences. Based on the all above, Chapter six gets the conclusions, testifies the hypothesis and make a discussion about the social inclusion of this group.
