The teaching of literacy in primary school is one of the most elementary and importantcontents and tasks. Great achievement has been gained in the effort of the teaching staff andthe theory investigators. However, there are still some shortcomings in the researches ofliteracy teaching in primary school, and mistakes in the teaching process: the children'smentality is neglect that they are forced to become literate in an age too early for them;theguidance of the character theory has not been well exerted, and sometimes it can not bemanaged correctly;the pedagogic law is ignored, and the training of capability and theteaching periods have been taken no account;different teaching methods cannot learn fromeach other;so on and so forth.The reasons of these mistakes lie in three aspects that the elements in society, teacherand theory researches. In order to avoid the mistakes in the literacy teaching in primary school,something must be done according to the various reasons;also the influences of ill elementsin society should be eliminated;the theory level of the Chinese teachers must be improvedand the basic theory research of the literary teaching has to be intensified.
