Research On The Professionalization Of Umpires In CBA Professional Basketball League Matches

The development of Chinese Professional Basketball has achieved spectacular success in recent years , which implants new vitality into the professional basketball sports glopally .At its initial stage,Chinese Professional Basketball still remains behind comparing with the international professionalization in basketball. One of the important factors is basketball umpires are not professionalized enough even though the concept of professionalization has been to some degree accepted and realized in China .The author has done research by means of questionnaires,experts' interviews, documentations and statistical analyses on Chinese basketball sports and matches, focusing on licensed umpires during the 2005-2006 season of (CBA and WCBA) Chinese Basketball Associate and Chinese Women' Basketball Associate. He's also investigated the judges, sports administrators, experts, professors,coaches and many other stafrmembers.Theoretically, the author's applied sports management, sports economics, sports sociology, sports competition science, decision science and sports competition science, decision science and other related disciplines of theory. The author explains the necessity and accessibility of establishing professionalization in CBA Professional Basketball League Matches. He points out some problems existed in CBA Professional Basketball League Matches ,foretells the would-be situations of basketball umpires in China ,and attempts to define some regulations of professional basketball . The research meets with the demands of CBA in globalization and industrialization and socialization and marketization .It presents theoretical reference for CBA Professional Basketball League Matches regulation reformation and the establishment of umpire team at home .
