Employment system reformation being breakthrough point to reform of management system of education, the concepts, as "employer and employee choice", "self-decided employment" and so on, have deeply rooted in the mind of Chinese people after uniform tutor fee-charging system being carried out. The graduates have begun to choose new operation mechanism and the traditional planning mold has been broken entirely. Reform on employment policy provides more opportunities for graduates from vocational schools. Meanwhile, scorching competition in employment produces greater stress and more ideological problems which obstacle the development and employment of students.As the students' aim to study in a vocational school is for their future employment, the employment rate of the vocational school graduates has become the yardstick of the schools' education quality and, to some extent, it determines the school's future. Consequently, to face the urgent circumstance, the vocational schools pay great attention to vocational counsel of graduates-to-be and guidance to graduates' employment with the latter being focus of vocational school's education. Centering on thoughts directing in vocational counsel, the author discusses five topics in this thesis. The first topic states and analyzes the definition, principle and task of vocational guidance. The second topic analyzes the connotative meaning of work of vocational guidance and political and ideological education and the interrelationship between the two. The third topic offers a deep research into the current state ofpolitical and ideological education in vocational school and ideological problems appearing during graduates' job-hunting. Besides, this part attempts to research the practical meaning of political and ideological education in vocational guidance. The forth topic demonstrates the general content on how to reinforce political and ideological education in the work of vocational guidance on the basis of combining theory with the practice of vocational education. The fifth topic suggests "four combinations" referring to the approach on strengthening the function of political and ideological education. The author endeavors to raise some facts and constructive suggestion to vocational guidance in vocational schools in our country.
