"Mathematics is known as the gym.of thinking skills." The objective of Secondary school mathematics is to develop student's thinking skills. To achieve this object, we have to strengthen mathematical thinking methods and to help students carry out mathematical thinking activities.This thesis discuss mathematical thinking activities in mathematics teaching from the following four aspects. First,we focus on what we mean by MTA and its classifications. Second, we explore the significance of implementing MTA in Mathematics teaching.One importantly aspect we would like to highlight is its culture value in helping students from a good thinking habit of mind. Third,we discuss how to carry out MTA in the classroom, we have to take students as the ower of their leaning,give them space for thinking,help them develop their cognitivn structure and pese questions yo them in accordance with their meta-cognition levels. Finally,we describe two cases where MTA are applied in mathematics teaching .
