The science curriculum is a new comprehensive curriculum which appears under the new curriculum idea. The aim of science curriculum is to improve every students' science literacy.In order to achieved the anticipated goal of scientific curriculum reform, must take the assessment reform as an important portion of scientific curriculum reform. Because of the influence of traditional education ideas, there are many questions in assessment of science curriculum such as obscure assessment ideas, singular assessment content, inappropriate assessment methods, and partial assessment subject etc. Such vague theoretical orientation and practical deviation makes it urgent for us to put the research of student assessment in science curriculum on schedule.Based on the requirement of curriculum reform, the thesis discusses the meanings, characteristics, functions and ideas of the developmental assessment in science education. Based on the science(7~9 grades) curriculum standard, the characteristics of secondary school students, the meanings of scientific literacy and reality of science curriculum , we design the project of developmental assessment in science education, bring forward the goals, contents, objects of the development student assessment of in science education. A preliminary research is done by the education experiments. At last we summarize the experience and lessons in research.
