Research On Status Quo And Countermeasure Of Chinese Women's Middle-distance Race

Middle-distance race, including distance between 800m and1500m,anddistance between 5000m and10000m, is a kind of athletic sports with thecharacteristics of speed and stamina. The first time it appears as theformal event is on Athens Olympic Games in 1896.But to be formal eventof Olympic Games , women's middle-distance race has passed a long andtwist road.Luckly ,in 1960,Roman Olympic Games put 800m to be formalevent,which is the beginning of women's middle-distance race.In 1996,5000m has been set up as formal event of women's middle-distancerace ,then ,women and man is fair in the field of middle-distance race.Middle-distance race brings forward a high request toathletes ,and ,from angle of the difference of women and men , women'smiddle-distance race is more difficult.Chinese women's middle-distance race developed on a low level ,anddon't appear until the new country founded .With the development ofeconomy and recognition of government, Chinese women's middle-distancerace developed speedly in 1990s.In 1986,Sunsumei set a new record of800m,with the grade 1:58.56,wich is also the best grade of Asia. In1987,Quyunxia get a grade of 4:07.71 in 5000m ,which set a new recordboth here and abroad .and at the same year ,Wangxiuting set a new recordof 3000m with a grade of both here and abroad .In 1988,Wangxiutingwan the eighth in 10000m in Seoul Olympic Games .All these made Chinesewomen's middle-distance race near to the world .In 1990s , Chinesewomen's middle-distance race struggled to the top of the worldgradually.In 1991, the third world championship of track -and -field games in Tokyo,Chinese athletes wan the first and the third.In1992,in the twenty-fifth Olympic Games, Quyunxia wan the second in1500m and Liuli wan the fifth .In 1993,in the seventh athleticmeeting,Liudong set a new record of 800m with a grade of1:55.54,which is also the best grade in china until now .At the sametime ,Wangjunxia set a new record of 3000m and 10000m,and Quyunxia seta new record of 1500m.Till now ,Chinese women's middle-distance racecome the top .But with the leaving of "Ma jia jun " and the retire ofthose excellence athletes , Chinese women's middle-distance racedownslided gradually.In this situation ,we must analyze recent problemsand bring forward a feasible to made Chinese women's middle-distanceto the top of the world again .For this purpose, based on the statistical analysis of the bestgrade of women's middle-distance race here and abroad in each year from 1990 to 2005,with the methods of literature and material ,questionnaire ,comparison and statistics etc,the thesis researchesand analyzes the current women's middle-distance race development of China and the world ,and draws the graph at the same time . Then ,we can see the characteristic of Chinese women's middle-distance race,such as instability , unbalance , difference between Chinese andthe world, the lack of auxiliary athletes ,and so on .At the same time we discovered that the improving speed of the levelof world women's middle-distance race is becoming slower .Thisprovides us with opportunities an hope for our country's women'smiddle-distance race to catch up with the level of the world .Thereforethis research overcomes the one—sidedness of analyzing only from oneaspect ,and treats the development of women's middle-distance race asa complex project and provides corresponding strategies in the fieldsof conception, training, athlete ,etc . We hope that ,it can providefeasible theoretical and practical foundation for the new rising ofChinese women's middle-distance race .This is also where we thesignificance of this research lies.
