Because of the increasing progress of modern science and technology, the training methods of sports also grow more scientific. The former methods such as the heavy load, heavy intensity, excessive rehabilitation and altitude training can also bring good results, but for athletes, they are torments which may only get half the result with twice the effort. Anaerobic threshold training applies the AT intensity to the training of athletes, which makes the exercise intensity more scientific and brings significant results in improving the athletes'capability of aerobic metabolism. The author of this article adopts the methods of literature, experiments, interviewing experts and mathematical statistics, experiments on 19 athletes from the Roller Derby class, the Department of Sports, the College of Physical Education in the Northeast Normal University and divides them into experimental and comparative groups. For the experimental group, he tests the athletes'individual anaerobic threshold to get the heart rate of AT which is the basis of working out a further training plan, while for the athletes in the comparative group, he frames a reasonable training plan. Both the two groups'training will last 12 weeks. In the course of training he regularly monitors the athletes'in the experimental group physiological and biochemical indicators, modifies their training program in time according to the changes in the numerical values of heart rate of AT, and in good time measures the maximum oxygen absorbed, the hemoglobin, the blood urea and other numerical values. The application of the theory of AT to monitoring the item of roller derby will open up new areas for training the capability of aerobic metabolism. This thesis makes arrangements for the athletes in the experimental group to take part in the AT intensity training, monitors the athletes'physiological and biochemical indicators which are to be analyzed mathematically by the SPSS software system on computer, and demonstrates whether the improvements of the roller derby athletes'somatic function made by the AT training are significant, thus provides scientific basis for the item of roller derby.
