In the educational reform process of the high school mathematics, how to manifested the study goaheadism of the students has become a focal question. According to the psychology research, the metacognition plays quite important role in the selfdetermination consciousness behavior.While the paper is based on the research of the metacognition and the previous studies both domestically and abroad, also discuss about the essential of the metacognition; the composition structure of the metacognition; the relations of cognition and metacognition and the monitoring skills of metacognition effects in the mathematics problem solving activities. From the results to the investigate questionnaire which indicated that the local middle school students are all in a lower level when they solving the mathematics problem with the monitoring skill of the metacognition. So with the metacognition theory and the practical teaching we cultivated and developed the target analysis strategy of the monitoring skills on metacognition in high school mathematics problems, communicated and cooperated the self explore strategy, reconsidering strategy, problem situation level strategy and other strategies to make further practical teaching research.
