Research On Online Ideological And Political Education Of Higher Education Institutions

Computer network is one of the greatest technological achievements in 20th century, whose rise and development has exerted profound influence on the whole society. Higher education institutions are the most outstanding frontier in using computer networks in Chinese society, so the life, study, thinking and belief of college students have been greatly affected. And the traditional ideological and political education is now faced with great opportunities as well as big challenges in China. How to foresee and effectively analyze network's influence on college students with an approach of development towards all kinds of changes in the internet age becomes a new research orientation of the ideological and political education of higher education institutions in modern times.Based on the researches at home and abroad, this paper integrates the theories of online ideological and political education from a relatively new angle. It begins with the analysis of the opportunities and challenges of ideological and political education in higher education institutions under the network circumstances. Then it analyzes the possibilities of online ideological and political education and the problems in its practice. Based on the analysis, it gives propositions on how to improve the online ideological and political education in higher education institutions and sums up its significances.
