The development of the community adult education and the exploration of its resources could realize the combination between the socialization of the education and the pedagogical society. It is also the crucial approach to make the education lifelong, socialized and international which has important meaning for constructing the leaning society. During implement of the community adult education, there are many successful cases of the community college with the good development in different countries so that this kind of college will be the typical model of the community adult education.Since the 1950s, the community education in Canada has large development which contributes much to its community economy. The community college in China begins much later. It is just situated at the beginning period, so there are certain differences between its influence on the social economy in China and that in Canada. However, the state of economy and society in China is favorable while it improves the requirements of the human training. But the present high education could not satisfy such requirements in short time. Thus the community college in China could obtain more spaces and drives.This paper uses the following methods to research the community education: literature research, resource collection, interview, comparison and the like while it selects two cases— Malaspina University College in British Columbia of Canada and JinShan Community College in Shanghai, China. One hand, it describes their history and how they run the schools; on the other hand, it focuses on the research of the curriculum setting. That means this paper will analyze the curriculum setting and its change of these two colleges while discuss the reasons such as society, economy, policy and so on which will lead to its change. Then, it indicates their running the school especially their homology and distinctness in curriculum setting as well as the causes of their differences. Finally, based on the comparative research, it comes back to review the development trend of the community college in China in order that it could offer the innovational thinking way for the new development of the community college in China.
