Research On The Decision-making Process Of Principal In The Elementary And Secondary School

The implementation of principal's responsibility system is a great reform of school management system. It makes school management practice full of new vigor. The school has autonomy in developing by itself and accordingly the principal has autonomies of running a school. The principal plays key roles in leading status, decision status in the administrative system of the school. As the core link of management, making decision (Decision-making) plays a decisive role especially. Therefore, this thesis orientates studying in principal's decision-making process in the public school, paying close attention to principal's decision-making and principal's decision-making process. Under the background of fact that our country takes "scientific development value " as the direction, The author expects that this research improves principal's decision level and impels the principal to make policy .This research is divided into four major parts:The first part of the research is to investigate and analyze the starts quo of decision-making process: In order to offer the real example foundation, the author holds relevant factor problems existing in principal's decision and its course wholly and analyzes the reality of principal's decision-making process through questionnaire and interview. Considering both principal and teacher participating in the principal's decision-making process, this inquisition returns to proceed to interview the teacher, besides the principal. So the questionnaires include principal's questionnaire and teacher's questionnaire. At the same time, the author interview some principals and teacher in order to remedy the deficiency of the questionnaire. There are two respects of the respondent's personal detailed conditions and decision-making process situation investigation to design time in the questionnaire. Through analyzing the result, the author obtains problems existing in the principal's decision-making process and characteristics from it, offering the factual foundation on principal's decision-making process in terms of theory analysis and case study separately for the ensuing chapters.The second part is to analyze the theory of decision-making process: Combining to principal actual investigation situation of decision-making process, the author learns that principal is the lack of decision theory knowledge.
