Content: Reading is an important way for people to acquire knowledge and communicate information, and also an essential skill for them. Once children have the reading dyslexia, it can bring great influence on their cognition, sensibility, self-conception and social development. However, as a sort of learning disabilities, developmental reading dyslexia happens in almost all kinds of languages. In recent years, developmental reading dyslexia has aroused more and more researchers 'attention. Research data indicate that, 5%-10% school students have developmental reading dyslexia. The most acceptable viewpoint at present is that reading dyslexia can be considered as a part of series of language disabilities., which is language processing deficiency. Researchers have put forward the theory of sound disabilities, which has greatly promoted the research of reading dyslexia.This paper recommends the definition and classification of reading dyslexia firstly, and then introduces the most acceptable theories which explain the cause of reading dyslexia in contemporary academia. Hope it can make some superficial inducement on the cause of English reading dyslexia in the case of our nation's students 'normal Chinese writing and reading system.The current researches mainly discuss English reading dyslexia in English speaking countries. Whereas this paper mainly study the status and cause of English reading dyslexia in Chinese writing and reading system, attempts to analyze the cognitive reason and original feature of English reading dyslexia of our Chinese students. We have the prediction that the cause of reading dyslexia is the deficiency of sound consciousness. Selected 23 reading dyslexia students and 21 normal students from 221 junior high school students, and designed four tests to make the validation analysis. Then use SPSS to analyze the data.The result shows that, the students operated the onset-rime test best, then syllable test secondly, and the phoneme test relatively poorer.
