Research On Current Situation Of Gymnastic Teaching In The Common Middle Schools In Jiangsu Province

Gymnastics, an important part of physical education and accounting for a considerable proportion in middle school physical education, is one of the sports items which can promote the development of teenager's body and mental health effectively and completely. Last few years, the teaching condition of gymnastics in middle school is not very ideal and the function that the gymnastic teaching should have can not extend availably and completely. After the implementing of the Course Standard of the Physical Education and Health, a series of problems, such as the current situation of gymnastic teaching, the teacher's gymnastic teaching accomplishment and the student's interest and hobby and so on, need to be researched urgently in order to promote the reform of physical education. This academic dissertation takes common middle schools in Jiangsu province, physical education teachers and middle school students as the research objects, uses research approaches such as documents and materials, questionnaire investigation and interview, etc., investigates and analyzes the present conditions of gymnastic teaching ,puts forward the corresponding suggestion to give full play to the due function of the teaching of gymnastics.The results:1. The majority of targets of the gymnastic equipment of middle school cannot meet the standard. In the gymnastic equipment aspect, middle schools in the city are better than those in countryside. Gymnastic teaching condition is bad and the comprehensive popularization of gymnastic teaching is difficult.2. The teachers and the students' evaluation on the function of the gymnastics (4 events) is high, but there are only few motions adopted in physical education teaching. The teaching rate of Free Gymnastic Movements is obviously higher than the other there events. Because of the difficulty of the motions and poor foundation of movement ability, students do not love gymnastics. Along with the implementing of the Course Standard of the Physical Education and Health, the teaching of the gymnastics (4 events) will further atrophy.
