The Extracurricular Activities In Developing The Students' Capacity

Researchers at home and abroad have been studying the educational functions of extracurricular activities. Much has been achieved and part of it proves that extracurricular activities have great educational potentialities in teaching and learning and pave ways to enhance quality education. There have been many theories in researching extracurricular activities and developing the students' capacity and certain environment and tutors are required .Thus,it is hard for the students to manipulate independently the extracurricular activities that can hardly form a complete set with classroom teaching.Accordingly,based on a scientific activity.this thesis studies the extracurricular activities in developing the students' capacity as follows:1.Work out 101 helpful experiments ,which include astronomy,geology,biology, physics and chemistry,ect,are easy to be operated and used to develop the students' extracurricular activities.2.Induce the results of the learning and creaticity capacity of some students in Kunming city and graph the fact before the experiments are carried out 3.Choose five-year students from class 1 Grade 2004 in Kunming College as the target and class2 as the comparision.The experiment on extracurricular activities in developing the students' capacity is carried out in classl and it lasts nearly 1 year from March 2005 to January 2006.The 101 experiments designed according to the actual condition of the students are carried out in the target class by assigning tasks and directing students to participate.After class,the students are guided to discover materials around and complete all experiments dealing with astronomy, geology,biology,Physics and chemistry,ect.The students are required to seek for knowledge to complete the experiment.4.Apply 'Excel' to analyzing data and 'Z test' to checking the effect of the experiment by inputing data related into the computer after the experiment of the target and comparision class.The result of the experiment proves that :the systematic extracurricular activities suitable for students help stimulate the students' learning interest,highten teaching effect and achieve exam results.More importantly,they are useful in developing students' learning and creativity capacity.
