The paper based on the macro-social background that the white collar's formation brings the social structure to change. We choose the white collar's(TWC) life style of leisure(LSOL) as our research theme. Take social effect theory of mass communication as our supporting point. We apply questionnaire investigation, case interview and documentary analysis methods to describe status quo of TWC LSOL with different leisure perception, and then, we discuss the influencing force and function to TWC LSOL. We find out main influencing factors and existent problems, and further put forward corresponding countermeasure.The research expatiates on the theme in two main aspects: On one hand, the thesis describes the status quo of TWC LSOL by describing its six elements. Firstly, it sets forth the status quo of TWC consciousness of leisure and differentiates leisure type. Finding that leisure concept is in transmission interim from positive type to negative type and presents positive state. Secondly, it probes into the status quo of leisure habit and mode, thinking that leisure habit has formulized related to their occupations and that leisure mode is distinct in ordinary life. Respective influencing factors are leisure concept, mass media contact and personal character. Thirdly, the young collar regard the mass media itself as the main leisure mode in their leisure time. The content of the mass media contact is diversified. There is relation between the content and the gender. the choice for the mass media's category is under the influence of the personal factor.On the other hand, statistical analysis method is applied to focus on effect-degree of mass communication factor on TWC consciousness of leisure. We find out that the choice for the mass media's category and media content trusted by the white collar have remarkable influence on it. Among them, mass media's category and opinion leader is the most influencing force. Then, we analyze subjectively the function of mass communication in transformation of TWC LSOL with the help of part case interview data, finding that its positive function is primary but its negative effect is not negligible. It can strengthen intrinsic the young collar's perception to promote the formation of new leisure habit, leisure attitude and leisure choice while transmitting leisure information.Finally, on the basis of the research conclusion, we point out possible mistakes existing in TWC LSOC and discuss the measure to practical activities of corporations.
