| Chemistry is a subject that is based on the experiment. Chemistry experiment in chemical education of the middle school can effectively cause the student to obtain knowledge and skill, and to develop their ability. It can make students get knowledge, arouse interest, run after truth and have virtue and so on. Chemistry experiment holds the pivotal status in the middle school chemistry teaching, which is also an important constituent part in the middle school chemistry teaching. Presently, the curriculum reform of the elementary and middle schools in our country has been carrying on. The scientific inquiry will be taken as the breach of the reforming, and its goal lies in causing the student through the activity of scientific inquiry by oneself, stimulates their interest to chemistry studying, promotes their scientific emotion and scientific essential understanding, then grasps the method of scientific inquiry, forms their ability of scientific inquiry initially. The function of chemistry experiment and the characteristics of inquiry have decided that chemistry experiment is the way and the approach to carry on scientific inquiry inevitably for the teachers and students. Its status and the function are unable to substitute. Therefore, in the middle school chemistry teaching, how to make full use of the function of inquiry about chemistry experiment and connect experiment teaching with inquiry and positively exploring and carrying out the teaching experiment of inquiry will have the positive significance.From the autumn of 2004, the chemistry textbook (Chemistry·Experimental Textbook of the Curriculum Standard of the Compulsory Education) compiled by the Scientific Publishing House and the Guangdong Education Publishing House has been used in juniormiddle schools of Hohhot. Implementing teaching of inquiry and raising student's scientific ability of inquiry are also one of the prominent characteristics in this textbook. The author of this thesis bases on the new textbook and carries on some research works about carrying out the teaching experiment of inquiry in the practice. The full thesis altogether divides six chapters: The first chapter is an introduction. In this chapter, firstly the concept, formation and development as well as the theory basis and guiding ideology about teaching experiment of inquiry are summarized. And then, the present situation of the teaching experiment of chemistry about domestic and foreign middle schools is analyzed. Finally, the significance about carrying out the teaching experiment of inquiry and the goal of this topic research are mentioned. The second chapter analyzes the difference between the content of experiment course in the new chemistry textbook and that of the old one in junior middle school, the characteristics of experiments in the new textbook. The third chapter elaborates the principle and the basic program on teaching experiment of inquiry. The fourth chapter in detail introduces the concrete procedure and measure about carrying out the teaching experiment of inquiry in the practice. The fifth chapter is some ponders to carry out the teaching experiment of inquiry, including the merits about carrying out teaching experiment of inquiry, some demands to teachers, the matters needing attention as well as some problems which must be solved. The sixth chapter is concluding remark that introduces the experience about carrying out teaching experiment of inquiry and the prospects to this research. |
