21st century is an era of knowledge and information. In this great times, China faces the unexpected challenges in economy and science. How to face the challenge is the mission of modern education and its value lies in here. Modern education should aim at the goal of realization of quality education, and teachers should try their best to help students learn how to study, how to survive in this world, and how to create. As teachers, we should develop the students'abilities of creativity, practice and life-long learning so as to enhance the development of individuals and society. But teaching students how to study and how to think is the precondition to achieve this goal.This paper expatiates the features and structures of thinking, and its development, puts forward that thinking is developing at different levels, and thinking is affected by cognition. The students of vocational schools are at the early stage of abstract logical thinking. During this period, helping students develop the methodology in a scientific way is a great help for their current and future work.But how to help the students have a better command of scientific thinking methodology in teaching? Based on the previous studies on thinking and thinking training from home and abroad, and the questionnaires collected from different vocational schools in the Region, this paper presents the feasibility and necessity of thinking training, and points out that closely combining the thinking training with chemical experiments can develop the ability in solving the problems in chemical experiments.There are various kinds of scientific thinking methods. After analysis on the features of thinking development and features of chemistry, the paper putsforward the following methods of thinking, which are commonly used in chemical experiments in vocational schools. In order that the scientific thinking methods could be widely used in chemical experiments, this paper presents the teaching rules that must be observed to standardize the thinking training. Meanwhile, the paper puts forward five methods of thinking training, reflecting thinking training can be carried out in different situations.Thinking training is carried out for a period of one term in two groups: controlled group and experimental group. Testing data are recorded before and after the experiment. The results show that in vocational schools'chemical experiments, thinking training can promote the students'scores effectively.The author thinks that it is quite necessary to carry out thinking training in chemistry teaching, paying attention to the features of chemistry. If we can do it purposely in our teaching, the scores of chemical experiments can be obviously increased.
