| Unconditional self-acceptance (USA) has been considered as one of valid therapeutic goals by many psychotherapeutic genres. Researchers have found that USA is an important factor to mental health. After reading a lot of research data, this study tries to enrich the disquisitive field and to enlarge participants on USA. In this study, middle school students have participated voluntarily, and a whole class has been investigated as one unit, and questionnaires have been adopted. On the basis of verifying the Unconditional Self-Acceptance Questionnaire (Haaga, 2001), this research explores the developmental characteristics of middle school students' Unconditional Self-Acceptance, and the relations between the middle school students' Unconditional Self-Acceptance and the important others, such as parents, teachers and peers. We have concluded that:The first, on the gender factor, the level of middle school students' USA has no significant difference.The second, on the grade factor, the level of middle school students' USA makes significant difference, we find that the students from the grade two of senior high school have the highest level of USA, while those from the grade three of senior high school have the lowest level of USA.The third, except that boys and girls from the grade one of senior high school have the almost same level of USA, on the other grades, girls' USA is higher than boys' .The forth, middle school students' USA is unstable, in adolescents life events, interpersonal relationship makes the most important influence.The fifth, the parents' cultural styles have significant correlation with middle school students' USA.The sixth, the teachers' acceptance has significant correlation with middle school students' USA.The seventh, the peers' acceptance has significant correlation with middle school students' USA. |
