As a basic human survival will to life identity basis on peculiarity of human being is seeking for unlimited development potential of locating people. For this reason, people have a wide variety of needs in order to achieve better survival, which includes educational needs. Education needs bring colorful features, and also have had a need of beyond desire and the pursuit of education. Therefore, in the value of education and awareness of educational functions and values, will be automatically assigned to the diversification and noble characteristics, it occurs the coexistence of reality and ideality, secularity and sublimity, them mutual promotion and constant progress picture in the history of the development of education values.We found education values which had splendid ideality have been neglected increasingly with the advent of the industrial age through combing of the history of educational values and its functions, advocating rationality and pursuit of the spirit of the industrial education have affected education unprecedentedly. Education values in the industrial era lost its lofty ideals, become more and more rational and instrumentalism, meanwhile humanistic ideals of social needs became the social needs in the industrial age with technologization and standardization increasingly, and thus violated its original spirits in a certain extent. At the same time, we also recognized that the character of education did not lose in the industrial society completely, this phenomenon of technologization and standardization is the explorations how people develop of education. Thus, in the industrial age, a diversity of educational value and functions of understanding traditional education had not fully dispelled. It can be said that education is a process of development continuously and then changing itself, or a movement of separating entity gradually and beyond itself. Only in constant criticism and architecture, education could be developed and make progress.Because of this, the paper believes to recognize the education values in practice, assure the education values in communication and feel the education in human life. It would reach deeper understandings from the perspective of practice, life views and communication, and then find the lost educational ideals.
