Abstract: Based on the reference to the research on critical thinking, this paper summarized the developing of critical thinking in the world and proposed the problems and difficulties of critical thinking study in China at present. By the investigation and interview, we designed the critical thinking questionnaire can be used to investigate students' development of critical thinking with Chinese culture. It is the good foundation for the research of critical thinking with reification and maneuverability. We investigated the teachers and students' critical thinking development actuality, and proposed the significance of critical thinking development in teachers, students and chemistry teaching. The whole study is composed of five parts:1. The problems and difficulties of study critical thinking in China at present are:(l) The definition of critical thinking is still ambiguity;(2) There is no sufficient practical research to support critical thinking teaching;(3) There is no special organization to support critical thinking research;(4) There is no critical thinking questionnaire can be used with Chinese culture;(5) The validity of cultivating method's in critical thinking is not to validate. (6) The study field in critical thinking is not broad in China.2. The critical thinking questionnaire with Chinese culture is developed and analyzed. The results indicated that: homogeneity reliability is 0.835,split-half reliability is 0.798,the questionnaire has the high reliability; Principal Components analysis results show that: the questionnaire have good construct validity, criterion validity is 0.545,and the questionnaire investigating result shows that the questionnaire have good criterion related validity. So the development of critical thinking questionnaire has the good reliability and validity. It will become the critical thinking quantitative study measurement.3. We investigated the students and teachers' critical thinking level. Results show that :(1) High School Students' CCTDI and CCTST are at middle level, which is above the average. Boys and girls have no difference in CCTDI and CCTST. This study also shows that students in Liberal arts and science have no difference in CCTDI and have difference in CCTST.
