Teachers' Adaptability and initiative are the key to the success of Curriculum reform. In this research, by questionnaire and interview, the author investigates teachers' adaptability to the reform and analyzes its causes. The research discloses that teachers in the Southwest multi-national regions can not adapt easily to the curriculum reform. This situation results from both subjective and objective reasons. The subjective element mainly lies in teacher's idea about education, for it is difficult for the teachers to change their concepts. The objective elements include the laggard evaluation system, the lack of curriculum resources, the incompatibility between teachers' training system with the demand of curriculum reform. In view of this situation, the author put forward several suggestions to carry forward the curriculum reform in the Southwest multi-national regions: increase investment in education there, construct evaluate system compatible with the curriculum reform, improve teacher's training system.
