A Study On The Effects Of Junior Middle School Students' Moral Judgement Ability,Sympathy On Helping Tendency

Helping behavior is an important part of social behavior, is the result of individual socialization. The effects of moral judgement,sympathy on helping tendency, it is one of questions which the scientists are interested in. The Junior middle school is an important stage for individuals' body and mental development. In this stage, individual' s personality come into being, it still can be molded. So there is no doubt that study on middle students' helping behavior has theoretical and realistic meaning.Study shows that this kind of individual deference is mainly caused individual cognition and emotion factors. Moral judgment is an important cognition factor in helping behavior, sympathy is valued as an emotion factor by the researchers. But so far, no quantitative study about sympathy and helping behavior, no study which put moral judgment and sympathy together as cognition- emotion unit in individual personality system.This study used literature method, questionnaire method and interview method, conducted self-made moral judgment questionnaire, self-made helping tendency questionnaire and sympathy questionnaire made by Uchida Y whom is Japanese psychologist on 1428 subjects, these 1428 students are chosen from three ordinary middle schools in Huhhot at random, they are between grade one and grade three (boys ,girls nearly 50%).This study's independent variables are moral judgment and sympathy, its cause variable are money helping, behavior helping and mental console, performed 4*4 multivariate analysis of variance.
