Research On The Information Literacy Current Situation Of Higher Normal Physical Education Undergraduates In Jiang Xi Province

21th century, people step into Information Society. P.E. education in Information Society is informative P.E. education. Information Literacy becomes basic literacy and methods to survive in Information Society. In January, 2001, the first fall due Asia-Pac "learning and teaching in Web Age-practice, challenge and foreground" international rap session was held in Guangzhou China. All experts from throughout the world thought that Information Literacy becomes not only an important guideline to evaluate people's integrate diathesis, but also everyone's basic abilities to survive in t Information Society. Whether higher normal P.E. undergraduates in Jiangxi province can survive in Information Society and be adapted to the need of information P.E. education or not, is up to their information literacy. So, researching their Information Literacy is very important. Through expatiating about the importance, the meaning, the evaluation criterions of Information Literacy, introducing researches on it all over the world, and reviewing the current situation of four aspects of Information Literacy of higher normal P.E education undergraduates in Jiangxi province, in order to find out countermeasures to improve the undergraduates' Information Literacy.The researcher adopted questionnaires to survey sample students from seven universities and colleges which have physical education major in Jiangxi province. According to the meaning, evaluation criterions and information education content, the researcher create a questionnaire whose test-retest reliability is 0.504, sig. is 0.05. After investigation, the researcher gets these conclusions:1) The sense of information of P.E education undergraduates in Jiangxi province needs improving;2) Most of P.E education majors in Jiangxi province are lack of information news;3) The information skills of P.E majors in Jiangxi province are not good enough and their abilities to fulfill informative P.E teaching;4) The information mortal of P.E majors in Jiangxi province is not good;5) Actions should be taken to improve P.E majors' Information Literacy in Jiangxi province.
