It seems that the basis concept of the curriculum reformation and the going-on teaching practice may be supported by Dewey's Educational Theory. However, many education researchers in China have greatly misunderstood the DET, especially the definition of experience, which is, however, the key word to understand the DET and particularly its curriculum theory. Because of the reasons above, this paper, based on the explanation of the exact meaning of experience, explicates the DET as Experience Curriculum. This thesis, mainly from various aspects of analysis of curriculum theory, elucidates Dewey's Experience Curriculum, in order to correct people's misunderstanding of the DET. Closely connected with the fundamental curriculum reformation, this thesis points out the instructional significance of the DEC and the problems to be especially paid attention to in the curriculum reformation, which is also this paper's characteristic manifested.
