This research consisted of five chapters that were divided into two parts .One part was concerned with static research including the first three chapters, mainly reviewing the self-control in learning and academic self-concept, surveying high school students from three schools of Fuzhou by using the revised questionair about self-control in learning and academic self-concept, and analyzing the features of self-control in learning of high school students as well as the correlation between the self-control and self-concept .The other part were concerned with experimental research including only fourth chapter, mainly on the basis of relative research, designed training courses of the cultivation of self-concept, randomly chose two classes as the experimental group and control group respectively, carried on the intervention research on improving self-control in learning. There was also the fifth chapter to draw a conclusion, pointing out the defects and giving suggestion for further research.The following were the results of this research:(1) It disclosed the features of high school students' self-control in learning, namely existing the significant interrelation among schools, grades and different academic orientations.(2)It devised the instrument for assessing self-control in learning and academic self-concept.(3)There was significant correlation between the different terms of self-control in learning and academic self-concept.(4) There was a basis inference that the academic self-concept had effects on the academic performance through self-control in learning ,however ,it needed proving through further research.(5) The training courses were helpful to strengthen the self-control,especially in terms of self-control efficacy, which indicated that it was an effective way to enhance self-control by promoting academic self-concept.(6)The training courses were more helpful to the students with medium degree of academic self-concept than those with high or low degree of self-concept,more helpful to male students than female students.
