Mathematical education is a new field, which needs further study both in theory and practice to pursue further development and perfection. This article mainly discuss approach famous mathematician L. C. Hsu's thoughts and ideas about mathematical education, analyzing and discussing them combined with present mathematical education condition and crux existed in China. Firstly, on the basis of introducing Mr. L. C. Hsu's life and main achievement, studying his mathematical methodology idea about the effect on mathematical education, which includes how analogy and inductive method work in mathematical study; the specific apply of relationship mapping and inversion principle to mathematics and mathematical education and the value of the training of mathematical intuitive ability to mathematical education. secondly; describing the relationship between his six pieces of mathematical teaching experienced and mathematical education, also the enlightenment. Lastly, in view of Mr. Hsu's two objective principles both in scholarresearch and serious teaching; the duplicate function of mathematical education, study opinion and the suggestion of educational reform, etc, this article elaborates his opinion of training students' intellectual factors as well as non-intellectual factors.On the basis of above, the article has a elementary study of Mr. Hsu's source of mathematical education thoughts and philosophical basis. So these ideas have certain realistic meaning in enriching present theory of mathematical education and further developing theoretical research of mathematical education, meanwhile, have certain directory function of promoting practical reform of mathematical education.
