Whether it is necessary for Chinese examination to have standard test is the argued point in Chinese education, the main idea of this question is that if the standard test can reflect the students' abilitits and cultivated manners in Chinese. First, this thesis explains the research meaning of the subject, then it draws the surveying point in education. It analizes several technical targets of the standard test scientifically , then with the modern psychology, it theoretically analizes the necessray need of the standard test. As for the practical need of the standard test in Chinese examination, this article takes the 1996-2000 national Chinese senior exam for example, it analizes the objectivity and scientific spirit of the standard test in details. It is thought that the standard test not only is the first choice test in examing the students' knowledge in Chinese, but also has the super advantage in examing the students' abilites and cultivated manners. It can't be completely taken over by subjective test. The two forms of tests should be relied on each other and supplied with each other. At the end of this article, it deals with the short comings in the standard test of the Chinese exam, and the comparisons between the standard test and the subjective test. It makes us have an entire understanding and a thorough knowledge in the standard test of the Chinese examination.
