Now we have entered the phase of overall implementing the basic education curriculum reform, but there still exist two wrong ideas in the present physics teaching research. One is some teachers still equate physics teaching research with classroom-teaching research, and thus seldom research into the essence of physics teaching from an overall perspective. The other is some teachers'research is just a summary of their own personal teaching experience, which lacks theoretical range and depth and is of little practical value in teaching practice. This dissertation is aimed at solving the problem by introducing into class the systematic instructional design which not only views the teaching environment as a whole but also arranges specific teaching matters carefully and carries out the problem procedures gradually based on relevant educational theories.This dissertation attempts to probe into the instructional design of physics under the circumstances of promoting new curriculums in junior middle schools from a physics teacher's perspective. It consists of three parts. Part One briefs us on some relevant theories and history of the instructional design and on the necessity of doing instructional design research. Part Two analyses what kinds of education, curriculum, theory and teachers and new ways of learning we need nowadays to meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform and the present times. Part Three analyses how to solve the problems in teaching practice. While teaching physics teachers must bear this notion in mind that students are always the principal learners whose practical ability should be cultivated in class. It also analyses how to do student-centered instructional designs of the new curriculum under the guidance of the theory of constructivism.
