Study On Actuality And Development In Physical Culture Of Campus Of University In Wuhan Area

As the advent of the 21st century, the best life in most Chinese urban residents have become physical and mental well-off from economic prosperity. This is a very important signal that they started to improve quality of life from the standard of living. We can see more and more people join the various physical exercises with great enthusiasm, and come into the huge public physical education (P.E.) cultural trend. Broad public P.E. including society P.E. and school P.E., and the campus physical education culture in university is the backbone of the campus physical education culture; it has great effect in improving the public P.E. So the construction of the campus physical education cultural in university is the active factor in the public P.E. from level to quality. The construction of campus physical education culture, as an important part composing the whole higher education, holds essential importance for students in edifying then-sentiments and morals, consolidating their decisions and molding the egos. On the one hand, it will have direct or indirect impact on the contents, modality and ethos of the domestic P.E., community P.E., even social P.E. Furthermore, when student enter the society and convert the role of they playing, the interest, hobby and the habit of exercise formed in the period of studying for the P.E. will spread in the society with their life style and behavior habit, thereby making this kind of favorable athletic behavior generate due social effect and promote the socialization of P.E. and the building of the socialism spiritual civilization. Therefore, the research on the collegial P.E. culture in campus has important meaning. This text defined the concept of the physical culture in campus of university, and expatiated its construction, characteristic and the function. We investigate the building actuality of the physical culture in campus of university in Wuhan area from the aspect of campus physical spiritual culture, material culture, institutional culture, main body of creating physical culture in campus alone with extracurricular P.E. which is a very important carrier of physical culture in campus. In addition, we theoretically discussed the factor that restricting the building of the physical culture in campus of university in Wuhan area. We discovered some problems and put forward the corresponding countermeasure and suggestion.
