Metacognition is the theory base of study and the effective way to the students. It can let students study independently and efficiently, that is to learn "how to study", it will effect tremendously to ones life in the rapidly development of science technology information times, but the traditional teaching ignored the training to metacognition capability. It is very important to train the student's metacognition capability in nowadays for the education topic of "teaching students how to study" and "teaching for transference.."This article adopts the reach methods of questionnaire, relevant analysis and case investigation to discuss the relationship among the construct of metacognition capability, achievement and sex in the student's learning of information technology to find the common characteristic both for good learners and bad learners in the metacognition capability by comparison, and raised the method of improving the metacognition capability in information technology teaching based on this.This article points out that the information technology of metacognition capability for middle school students behaves goal, plan, consciousness, strategy, method, execution, feedback, remediation and summarization. The middle school student's information technology of metacognition capability reacts the same as it's information technology achievements. For an overall, it is not so good for the middle school student's information technology of metacognition capability, the remediation side is a little bit better while it is not so good in execution aspect. It is due to the age characteristic for the middle school students and the effect of teaching methods by teachers. Sex is not the crucial factors of leaning well or bad of information technology of metacognition capability for a student but there are the differences for the students among the different sex, school and lever of the study. We need to use the different methods to teach them during the training of metacognition capability. It is workable to improve the student's information technology of metacognition capability through the trainings of target consciousness and study strategy, and it also improves the student's information technology achievement. The student's metacognition capability will be advanced with the time passing by and familiarity of the knowledge, but the student's metacognition capability will be improved much quickly by the purposive and calculated guidance from the teachers.
