Self-regulated learning, as an important subject, has being always studied in pedagogy and psychology. In pedagogy, the pursuers aim to foster the students'ability to learn by themselves by paying attention to the effective methods of teaching used to train the students'ability of self-regulated learning. In psychology, the pursuers emphasize particularly on investigating not only the factors that affect the self-regulated learning, but also the mentality mechanism when self-regulated learning arises and develops. From the psychological perspective, the undergraduates tend to mature in physiology and mentality, and they are capable of conducting self-regulated learning. Moreover, universities and colleges of different types adopt this method of learning now.Based on the research findings of the study on self-regulated learning, higher education at large attaches importance to the investigation and study on the current self-regulated learning of undergraduates through a method of evaluative pedagogy. In the article an index system of evaluation and a questionnaire of evaluation are designed centering on the factors concerned with mentality mechanism and environment, etc. The table of evaluation is used as an instrument in investigating self-regulated studying among the students of Southeast University. The status quo and peculiarities of self-regulated learning in undergraduates is brought out by analyzing and summarizing the data of investigation. Furthermore, the article analyzes and evaluates the reasons for the status quo and peculiarities of self-regulated learning of undergraduates, and moreover while affirming the merits of the learning, the article makes suggestions that the evaluation on instruction should guide educational administration, teaching and studying.
