With the advent of knowledge economy, the talent training objective changes accordingly, which emphasizes the cultivation of students’self-regulated learning ability and self-education ability.Universities are the cradle of talent training, promote the development of comprehensive quality of college students is the main target of universities.National defense education is an important part of university education content,military theory course is the important carrier of national defense education in Colleges and Universities. Military theory course has a positive role in promoting the all-round development of the students’ moral qualities, intellectual ability, physical fitness and aesthetic appreciation.However,the teaching situation of military theory course is not optimistic,classroom teaching can not well highlight the subjectivity of undergraduates, students’ learning lacks flexibility, yet,self-regulated learning in military theory course has become an important supplementary mean of classroom teaching.In view of this, the article through the investigation and analysis on present situation of self-regulated learning in military theory course.find that there are many problems in the process of self-regulated learning in military theory course and then put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Based on domestic and foreign related literature of self-regulated learning, this paper firstly defines the concept of self-regulated learning of undergraduates in military theory course, elaborates the connotation and introduces related theory of self-regulated learning of undergraduates in military theory course. Secondly, through empirical research on Southeast University undergraduates’ self-regulated learning of military theory course situation, the paper analyzes the current situation,expectations and effects of undergraduates’ self-regulated learning in military theory course and proposes some existing problems. The problems are mainly in the following respects:students’learning motivation is not strong,most of the students take a passive way of learning;there is a gap between reality and expectations of self-regulated learning content;the method of self-regulated learning is single;the way of evaluation of self-regulated learning is not standard and reasonable;self-regulated learning lacks teacher guidance.Thirdly, in view of the above problems, this paper summed up the reasons why self-regulated learning effect of military theory course is not obvious. Finally, this paper,from the three angles of schools, teachers and students, proposes strategies of increasing self-regulated learning effect of military theory course:create good environment for students’ self-study learning in military theory course;explore the ways for teachers to guide students’ self-regulated learning in military theory course;improve students’ self-regulated learning level of military theory course.
