Simple Discussion Of Strong Program

Sociology of scientific knowledge′s strong program is analysed deeply in this paper, and it is pointed out that causuality principle is the core of strong program. Causuality principle is the strongest tool of strong program that is used to explain scientific knowledge.Based on above, the relation between strong program and relativism is analysed in this paper. Many relative methods are used in strong program when scientific knowledge is explained. As a result, strong program faces relative danger, and this damadges the objective foundation of science. In strong program, traditional scientific rationality is also refused, and it is thought that there are different kinds of rationality in human being, because there are different view on the human′s culture. Usual scientific activity is disturbed in strong program.In strong program, some paradox in theory and practice faces sociology of scientific knowledge and this made strong program weaker and weaker. Sociology of scientific knowledge turned from strong program to sociological finitism. But sociological finitism and strong program are the same programs, so this turning hasn′t solved the problems it has. At last, the tendency and outlet of sociology of scientific knowledge is pointed out in this paper .
