This research, by means of documents, paper investigation, statistics, chooses the young elderly participants from Wuhan city and its suburb, and tries to find out the difference in opinions about health and healthy life style which main content is exercise between these two communities. Then to make suggestion on perfecting aging's health belief according to the difference of health belief between these two kinds of samples which represents the difference of these aging's opinions about health and healthy life style. On the base of the suggestion, the research aims to put forward gist for theory and demonstration in hoping propagandize and popularize physical exercise in our country, especially among the elderly in the countryside, and to support senior citizens in promoting their health quality.The investigation result shows the following facts:(1)The education degree the elderly reaches affects his/her health belief. The higher degree one reaches, the more benefits one perceives from exercising, whereas the less obstacles one perceives;(2)Healthy lifestyle and economic status are two important factors that affect the elderly's health belief; (3)There is correlation between health belief and health behaviors. The elderly in city who perceive more exercise benefit and fewer obstacles usually do exercise, the elderly in countryside who perceive less benefit and more obstacles seldom do exercise. It can also be narrated in opposite direction, i.e., in behavior-belief order, those who usually do exercise perceive more exercise benefit and fewer obstacles than those who seldom do ;(4)The difference of health belief of the two sample collectivities is significant. Among the five aspects of exercise health belief, the young elderly from the two collectivities share the same viewpoint on their vulnerable to disease but hold different viewpoints on recognizing the seriousness of disease, the peasant elderly are more concerned about their health status. And the young elderly from Wuhan city and its suburb stick to significantly different viewpoints on the benefit and cost of exercise, the former perceive more benefit and less barriers of exercise than the latter.
