| With the fast development and widespread application of GIS technology, its introduction into high school geography teaching becomes a necessity. To introduce GIS into high school geography teaching means much more than simply incooperating GIS into high school geography curriculum, but employing GIS, a new computer medium, as a great assistant in high school geography teaching, based on its powerful and efficient making and dealing of maps. Electronic maps, a representative and important product with the application of GIS. Is superior than traditional paper maps in many aspects.Concerning the introduction of GIS into high school geography teaching, its educational functions should be clearly defined, thus making it possible to enhance high school geography teachers' consciousness to learn and apply GIS actively and voluntorily, to understand the urgency and operatibility of the application into high school geography teaching, and to enhance the quantity and quality of GIS technology's application in high school geography curriculum.In order to examine the effects of GIS' application in high school geography teaching, the author introduces the background of GIS' application in high school geography teaching,software and data,the overall design of experiments, the process of experiments, case analysis, analysis of experiment ruselts, questionnaire of experiment, he also draws a conclusion in a positivist way, and attempts analysis of several issues concerned, concerning GIS' application in high school geography teaching; which all, the author humbly hopes, will be of great avail for reference and enlightenment, in the new wave of high school curriculum reform, especially that of geography. |
