It is one of reasons why people ecstatically carries on job satisfaction research that working satisfiedly and joyfully has the higher quality of life. And studying job satisfaction, as one of effect indices of school administration, is an important method to maintain the psychology health of special school teachers. Therefore, the aim of this study is to acquaintance the current situation and to analyse the infuential factors of job satisfaction of special school teachers in Shanghai, and to provide the basis for school management and enhancing the level of teachers' psychology health.The subjects included 382 teachers of 15 spceial schools in Shanghai. The research used various education science research methods to collect the data, such as literature, interview and questionnaire, and used descriptive statistics, variance analysis, regression analysis and correlation analysis to analyse the data. The questionnaires designed by the researcher was used to investigate the status, the characteristics and the influential factors of job satisfaction of special school teachers. The main results are as follows:1. The job satisfaction of special school teachers in Shanghai is made of job atmosphere, itself, treatment, object, intensity and condition.2. Generally, the job satisfaction of special school teachers in Shanghai was above the middle level. But teachers are little dissatisfied with job treatment and intensity.3. The characteristics of job satisfaction of special school teachers in Shanghai are: no sex difference; the lower level of job satisfaction in teachers aged from 30 to 40 (job aged from 11 to 20) and with bachelor's degree , and the most unsatisfied with job intensity in senior teachers(the more job aged) and in teachers with polytechnic school, but no professional ranks difference; the tendency to drop level of teachers' satisfaction with the expansion in school scale; the more class hours, the lower level of techers' satisfaction; the highest level of teachers' satisfaction in school where students are deaf or hard of hearing and the lowest level of teachers' satisfaction in school where students are blind or hard of vision; significant differences in satisfaction among different grade teachers, and different performance in each kind of school; in general, the higher level of satisfaction in suburb school teachers than urban and district and the suburbs school teachers; the higher level of satisfaction in teachers with administrative duty than non-administrative duty.4. Positive copying style, family support, other people support and family adaptability were validated to be significant predictors to job satisfaction of special school teachers in Shanghai.
